The Yoga of Awareness

Kundalini Yoga was brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan in 1969. It’s derived from a combination of Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, and Tantric paths. While all styles of yoga share the same ultimate goal and purpose, Kundalini Yoga is an efficient system that provides a direct path to raising Kundalini energy that yield immediate results. This makes it a perfect practice for our age. We need efficient, effective systems, and we need results.

Kundalini Yoga involves a blend of pranayama, mantra, mudras, asanas, and drsti called kriyas. Each kriya generates specific neurophysiological effects. This is a perfect practice for busy minds as it engages breath, movement, sound, and focus; utilizing top down and bottom up processes to stimulate changes in the brain.

Kundalini yoga will widen your aperture.. let more light in.. and allow you to embody and express the totality of what you are. It's not a theory.. but a technology of living.. actualizing.. and transcending. This is the yoga of awareness.

As we develop and nurture our practice, our intuition strengthens and our perception transforms. We become more embodied.. present.. aware. We discover areas in our lives in need of healing, or we may come face to face with blockages or traumas to resolve. The beauty is that when we approach these teachings with reverence and sincerity, healing emerges.

My hope and my prayer as a teacher is to help guide others on their paths through the process of self-discovery and personal development so that you navigate your terrain with power and grace.
