Common Mantras Used in Kundalini Yoga
Adi Mantra
This mantra is used to “tune in” before beginning your kundalini yoga practice. Its translates roughly to mean “ I bow to the divine teacher within”. This mantra connects us to the golden chain, which guide both the teacher and students during the practice and sets the tone and intention for the class.
Mangala Charan Mantra
This mantra clear doubt and negativity and opens us to receive protection and divine guidance.

Sat Nam is a seed mantra that represents identification with truth. Truth is your essence. Truth is your name.
Sa-ta-na-ma is the atomic form of the mantra Sat Nam. This mantra communicates the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth.
Saa = Infinity, totality of the Cosmos.
Taa = Life (birth of form from the Infinity.)
Naa = death (or transformation.)
Maa = Rebirth.
Wahe Guru can be translated to mean “I am in ecstasy when I experience the indescribable wisdom”. This represents the awe and greatness of the divine.
