Spring Persists

Michael Green. One song: A new illuminated Rumi.

Some say there’s an elusive beauty in breaking.. though it’s often only acknowledged with bittersweet gratitude in retrospect; long after we’ve emerged from the smoking embers and debris of cataclysmic change. Despite the collective anxiety, fear, and pain that we face in the midst of our current health crisis, I’m confident that we’ll emerge wiser, stronger, and more heart-centered. With much of the world on pause, many of us adapting to new routines, new ways of connecting, communicating, and relating.. Some of us are being stripped layer by layer; uncovering new realizations and truths that were once inaccessible while living in the midst of our former busy, loud, “normal” lives. While on a walk today, I realized how wonderful and reassuring it is to simply acknowledge that despite the whirlwind of change and instability within our societies, spring progresses.. and serves as a reminder of nature’s rhythm, continuity, and adaptation. Flowers teach us of victory tempered by patience, the audacity of hope, and despite their deceptive fragility, they persist as an affirmation of life. Find your rhythm. You are a flower.

Alone together,

Desirée
